First on the awesome YU team is Emily! Emily started as an intern while attending Bemidji State University, but we couldn’t let her amazingness go! She has been with us since May of 2012.  Emily is a major part of Yellow Umbrella // helping keep the day to day operations flowing is her forte. She has her hand in almost all of the aspects of the business - all graphic design for in-store ads, photographing our online products, responding to emails, working on displays, and mopping the floor.

We all love Emily’s quirky, creative, artistic and inspiring personality.  She is one of the most talented graphic designer and artists on the face of the planet. (whatever she is creating or designing she can often be caught with a Diet Coke in hand) At YU, Emily has a knack of helping us find one of a kind, unique gifts.  Her friendly, approachable personality allows customers to feel comfortable asking questions or opinions on things.

In Emily’s time away from YU she loves to share life with her husband Steven.  She loves facial hair, hiking, camping, tattoos, bison, Jimmy John's, Diet Coke and Jesus.  At home her and Steven spend time with their pets - Naga, the bearded dragon - Rude Boy, the blue lobster - their salamander and their fish.  We couldn’t be more thankful to have Emily as a part of the YU team and know that she will be an intricate aspect of our future!
